Noyan Real History

Dear Friends, One of the main characters in Dirilis Ertugrul is the Mongol Commander Noyan

In this regard, we have studied history, what history guides us about Noyan

His full name is Baiju Noyan in history. His date of birth is given as 1201 CE.

He is said to belong to the tribe of Jabe Khan, a general of Genghis Khan.

In 1241CE Ögedei Khan appointed Noyan as Mongol commander in Persia, Anatolia, and Georgia.

After being appointed commander of Anatolia, Noyan launched several attacks on the Seljuks and captured many of their territories.

Noyan was the commander of the Mongol army in the Battle of Köse Dağ, fought in 1243CE between Mongols and Seljuk.

In this battle, the Seljuks suffered a humiliating defeat and became puppets of the Mongols.

History tells us that in this war the number of Seljuk army was much larger than the Mongol army and that the Seljuk army was led by Sultan Ghias-u-Din himself.

Under Baiju Noyan, in the 1241s and 1250s, the Mongols retained their power in Persia, Anatolia, and Georgia.

Noyan was also part of the Mongol army that invaded Baghdad, led by Halaku Khan.

He was also part of the Mongol army that invaded Syria and Egypt...

The last mention of Noyan in history comes from the Mongol army that invaded Egypt, and what happened to him after that is not clear from history.

But according to the famous historian Rashid al-Din, Baiju was executed by Hülegü Khan due to failing to stop the Berke Khan corps from fleeing from Persia to Russia, and Hulagu Khan was very angry with him over Berke Attack.
