There is virtually little knowledge about his life in history. In the novel "Dede Korkut," his story is told. He was described as a fierce and valiant fighter.


Dede Korkut is a well-known novel that chronicles the battle for independence of Oghuz Turks. His Story is also mentioned in famous Oghuz Turks Books "The Book of Dede Korkut".


The book tells the story of a time when Oghuz were nomadic people. Dede Korkut says that once all Oghuz Princes did get together. Their Sons were also with them. Then Bay Büre Khan started crying and said that Allah has not blessed him with a son. Who would have strengthened his Tribe? And after his death, his family will vanish.


After that, all the princes prayed for him. Bay Bichen Khan also asked everyone to pray to Allah to bless him with a Daughter. and After that Bay Büre Khan was blessed with a boy and Bay Bichen was blessed with a girl. Bamsi Beyrek was a bold and courageous fighter, as well as a caring individual.


The Oghuz tribes were enthralled by his daring stories. Bamsi Alp was a man who liked to have a good time in his everyday life. Bamsi got married to Banu Cicek, to whom Bamsi gifted a big hunted deer.


 According to legend, he was seized by the Byzantines during an attack on his tribe. He was imprisoned at Byzantine Prison for 16 years. With the assistance of a Byzantine princess, he was able to escape from jail. Bamsi Beyrek was a fearsome and ruthless warrior. It's unclear how long he lived or when he died. Only to pay homage to this renowned figure, Bamsi has been featured in Dirilis Ertugrul & Kurulus Osman. He had no ties to the Ertugrul Ghazi or Osman Gazi, despite spending 16 years in a Byzantine prison and refusing to give up his fight for liberation.
